1. Wash your windows or hire a professional window cleaning company to do it for you. A little elbow grease can go a long way!
2. Repair small nicks/scratches in your walls. We've all bumped into our walls and caused an unsightly mark. Maybe the kids were playing a spirited game of floor hockey or maybe you had your hands full and you thought you could just "squeeze" past. Whatever the issue, repairing those dings sooner than later will save you time down the road and help keep your home looking fresh.
3. Clean your gutters. Not only will this help to clear the water during a heavy rainfall and extend the life of your shingles but you won't have unsightly debris from last fall, hanging over your eavestroughs.
4. Paint.......and then repaint! Painting the interior (and exterior) of your home every 5 years or so, will keep the palette current and the walls fresh. And if you know you're painting, chances are, you'll have to start with #2 on this list.
5. Change your furnace filter, every month or at least every 2-3 months. This will keep your furnace running smoothly, your home free from allergens, and the odors to a minimum. If you're like me, and you have allergies, the filter should be at the top of the list every spring and fall.
